negative space

negative space is an electronic audiovisual piece, developed with Ableton and Jitter. The work focuses on the periphery and the void spaces which are often unheard or unseen. Composed during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, the piece represents darkness and isolation as I was unable to collaborate with other composers and musicians. The piece emits a murkiness and gloom based on incessant flow of death and sickness with a density of sound and texture. As humans, we have become numb during this unusual time while dissolution and destruction becomes background noise to our everyday lives.
