Lumiresonatum

to void, once again is an electronic piece using my custom-built instrument, the Lumiresonatum. It was performed in the concert loop() with three other new instruments at the Fishman Studio in Brown's Granoff Center for the Arts, located in Providence, RI.

This instrument consists of several small units encased in acrylic which attach to the body, connected by long wires. Each unit attached to a limb has a 6-DoF IMU (a gyroscope and accelerometer) inside, as well as an LED which changes brightness based on other settings. The unit at the center of my body has an Arduino linked to it, as well as a Zigbee sending data to an external laptop. Each foot has pressure sensor data on the heels feeding to the computer as well. All of these feed to a MAX patch sorting the data into parameters and modulating audio output of vocal samples.
